We already know that prehistoric burial sites as well as quarry sites, sites where stone tools were manufactured from native flint cobbles, exist on the ranch. We're very excited about working with the Kathi Johnson to learn more about what is out there. Roughly 12,000 years of human occupation are represented in the area."
Dan Potter, Archaeologist Texas Historical Commission | | | | | "The archaeological discoveries on the ranch never cease to capture the imagination of our visitors. It's an overwhelmingly emotional experience to witness artifacts left here, some of them as long ago as 12,000 years, by a variety of inhabitants. It is a joy to share the ranch with guests."
